The beam styles are very heavy gates and generally require V-track to move properly. All the K ratings are achievable and stopping distance can be near or at zero. Snow and ice can become an issue for the track.

Cables, stainless steel, annealed, on slide gates act like a rubber bands. They have more restrain per pound than steel tubes or I-beams. Because these gates are much lighter, a standard cantilever design can be used.
